Miranda Williamson

Deputy Director (Partnerships and Communications)

Miranda has a background in international education and development. At the Cambridge Trust, she oversees a portfolio of international partnerships which enable students from across the globe to study at the University of Cambridge. She also leads the Trust’s communications and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining the Trust, Miranda worked for The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, where she led the design of a national homelessness prevention programme and developed the Foundation’s communities strategy.

For a decade, Miranda led and contributed to policy and programmes at the British Council that deepened the UK’s international education links and fostered cultural relations. Highlights included leading the Council’s work on youth, governance and social enterprise across 17 countries in the Middle East and North Africa; establishing and implementing a global programme of Technical and Vocational Education and Training partnerships; directing the flagship sport for good programme with the Premier League; and managing the organisation’s government relations during the 2015 General Election and the EU referendum.
